Kanjiža is a pretty, relaxed, agricultural little town situated right next to the river Tisa, on teh right side. It is in the North-East of the Serbia's autonomous region called, Vojvodina. There are 13 other villages belong to Kanjiža and accordint to the last census of number of inhabitans is 27.510. Thank to its geographical location as a borderland settlement it is one of the most important trading and transporting junktion between border checkpoint.

Out town is a popular turistical centre. There is a lot of entertainment, mainly in summer, like the jazz festival, or the much-loved fishing-festival. The aim of Kajnića is the cooperation with the neighbour and overboard vellages and towns.
